Substance Abuse Outpatient Services are medical or other treatment and/or counseling to address substance abuse
problems (i.e., alcohol and/or legal and illegal drugs) in an outpatient setting. They may be provided by a physician or under the supervision of a physician, or by other qualified personnel.

Substance abuse services may involve a variety of mental, emotional, spiritual, and practical skills to deal with addictions and ongoing recovery, as well as clinical treatments and interventions that address the physical causes and symptoms of addiction.
